My experience at Gateway Hotel was quite disappointing. The furnishings were outdated and looked shabby, which didn't match the expectations I had based on the price. Additionally, the room had burn holes in the sheets and no hot water in the morning, which made for an uncomfortable stay.

The room, a Double Room, was standard but functional, providing basic comforts. Dining options included a notable Tuscan cheese that was a pleasant surprise. Continuous issues with reaching out for confirmations only added to the frustration of the experience.

Man, I was just lookin' for a cheap spot, and it did the job, ya know? Bed was comfy, but the area felt kinda sketchy. Plus, I had to escape those smoky vibes outside. If you just need a bed for the night, this place ain't too bad, but I wouldn't stick around dark streets, that's for sure.

The hotel provided fast Wi-Fi that made planning our day's explorations easy, and the attached restaurant offered large portions that definitely satisfied our appetites after long days out. We loved the free shuttle service, which made getting around a breeze!

I stayed for two nights to visit the nearby United States National Arboretum with my kids. The room was clean and had the essential amenities we needed. It was nice that we could walk to the Arboretum in about 15 minutes, which was perfect for our family outing.
